is Unique in its’ attitude & approach H~OM  (pronounced “home”) was created with the intent to make all who enter feel like they’ve found a “H-OM away from home”!


Founder / Owner Helene Couvrette CYT,  E-RYT, a Registered Certified yoga teacher and 200 Hr Yoga Teacher Trainer, registered with Yoga Alliance since ‘03 and teaching since ‘99, is also a  mom of 4 awesome kids between the ages 7-21.


Her passion for yoga & all that brings fitness, health & wellness of mind, body & spirit to the young & the not-so-young, fueled by the desire “To Touch as Many People, in as Positive a Way as Possible” has led her to this path.


H-OM’s special recipe is not a gym, club, or spa, not a machine but a cozy space where warmth, compassion & open-mindedness is infused into all it offers. At H-OM you will find a staff that is not only qualified on paper but in heart & soul.


The studio schedule is packed with classes which include Yoga for Beginners & Experienced, Prenatal, Restorative, Super Gentle, Seniors, Kids, & Family (mom & or dad with kids), Men Welcome!


Then there is also Meditation, Pilates, Cardio, Abs & Buns, Tai Chi, Aerobics, Aikido .

The Center also has equipped itself to offer Gymnastics on Floor, Beam & Bars for Tots - 8 year olds and Gym fun Parties.


The beauty to the “H-OM way” is in its flexible payment system & “come as you can plan”. Weather you come on a Drop-In basis, buy a set of Tickets, or sign up Unlimited for the season, you are free to hop around the schedule depending on your schedule.


At H~OM You are not locked into a class, time, or day, simply come as your lifestyle sees fit. Leaving you with the satisfaction that you got what you paid for!


H-OM’s Wellness Room also for mind, body & spirit, offers a wide variety of Massage Therapy including Swedish, Tao Shiatsu, Thai Yoga, Prenatal, Therapeutic, Relaxation, & Reflexology.


H-OM Wellness rooms also offer   Acupressure by a Japanese Master,

Grief counseling, Life Coach, Nutritionist, Reiki, & even Tarot Readings & Classes.


H-OM will continue to expand & contract, welcomes input, suggestions, and strives to tune into the  needs of our clients & community who grace us with their presence & support.

4 Years of Wellness brings it all H~OM

Yoga Teacher Training School

Celebrating 4 years this July H~OM is proud to have things continue to grow into wellness.  Heleen Couvrette, the founder and owner of H~OM Yoga Wellness Center, a certified registered E-RYT (experienced yoga teacher) officially become a registered 200 hour YTT (Yoga Teacher Trainer) last year the center became a Registered Yoga Teacher Training School  with  Yoga Alliance, a national registry of yoga teachers and schools.

Heleen has been teaching Yoga since 2003,  gives guided meditation, offers private yoga & mediation, and spiritual support, as well as writes insightful articles for a local wonderful paper “Your Local Journal”.

H~OM Yoga Wellness Center opened its doors July 2007 with the deep desire to bring to the local and not so local community a place to find peace and healing of mind, body and spirit to souls of all ages and abilities. She wanted to offer a place that would have a H-OM away from HOME feeling.

The response has been overwhelmingly supportive showing a common need for all to “breathe in” a place that has the energy of a warm family hearth.

There are over 25 classes a week offered at H~OM Yoga Wellness Center throughout the year, half of which are yoga for all levels & ages including senior, kids, family, mom and baby, prenatal, and plus size,  as well as meditation seminars with our local Stephen Schettini. Other fitness classes include Pilates, cardio, Tai Chi, and kids gymnastics classes and parties.

The wellness room offers Tao Shiatsu Acupressure, Massage Therapy, Holistic Nutrition,  Reiki, Reflexology, Life Coaching, & Grief Counseling.


Day retreats, specialty workshops of all kinds related to wellness, such as nutrition, reflexology, energy work, & laughter yoga are some of the eclectic happenings at H~OM. Blessing the center are also intimate concerts and events including Satsangs (sitting in the company of the wise) with Guruji Sri Vast, concerts with David Hickey-Crystal Bowls, Partha Bose – sitar, and Yoga intensive weekend workshops with Ray Long MD FRCSC yogi/orthopaedic surgeon/author.


Sept 2011 - June 2012, H~OM Yoga Wellness Center is pleased to offer its second  season of  200 Hr YTT (Yoga Teacher Training) Program directed by Heleen Couvrette CYT, E-RYT  200 with the desire to share her passion and continue along her path.


This is all still just the beginning... H~OM Yoga Wellness Center will continue to grow with an open mind, compassionate heart and deep intent to “Touch as Many People, in as Positive a Way, as Possible”. We hope see you soon at H~OM.
